Biography Why Kay J Kay? Because my last name is insanely long, and while interesting, my initials KJK are a bit easier to remember. I grew up in Southern California, though my parents (Dutch and Indonesian) are the first of their families to move overseas and settle in the States. Weird, random and true: I think music is a fundamental necessity of humanity. I love discovering new musicians... new artists. Out of my top ten favorite films of all time, a few random selections are: The Fall, North by Northwest, and The Little Princess. I love chili, tomato soup, mangoes and strawberries. I think I understand animals more than I understand people, and have owned/cared for more species than most people can think of, including but not limited to: owls, possums, sharks, lizards, rats, seahorses, deer, hummingbirds, goats, octopi, turtles, eels, sparrows, chickens, horses, ponies, nautilus, and parrots. I love gardening, cooking, and flea markets.
